Just finished book 7 of Harry Potter -- B got it first, because she reads faster than I do, but she did a good job of not telling me anything about it until I had a chance to read it first. Definitely a good ending to the series. I don't know if it will happen, but I would really enjoy some short stories or side novels to fill in some of the background and backstory -- things that were off in the wings of the main story. Sharon Lee and Steve Miller have done this to very good effect in their Liaden Universe books, and David Weber has done a very nice job of this in his Honor Harrington series, even letting other folks write stories in the Honerverse (and occasionally even spinning some of those characters into full length novels.

Anyway, I can always hope!
